The physics department at SJTU has a unique style to emphasize its undergraduate education: we have small classes and faculty members interact with undergraduates almost everyday. Undergraduates are encouraged to participate in research under the guidance of faculty members. Students can conduct curiosity-driven research independently while supported by faculty members and senior students in an intellectually stimulating environment.
