INPAC-Seminar 124
Title: A few open questions regarding the density dependence of nuclear symmetry energy
Speaker: Prof. Bao-An Li, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Texas A&M University-Commerce
Time and place: 16:00, May 17 ( Friday), 2013, Lecture Hall/INPAC
Abstract:
Thanks to the hard work of many people in the nuclear physics and astrophysics community, significant progress has been made in recent years in constraining the density dependence of nuclear symmetry energy and its astrophysical impacts. In this talk, I will discuss several open questions to further constrain the symmetry energy especially at supra-saturation densities using new opportunities provided by both terrestrial laboratory experiments and astrophysical observations.
