Colloquium
Time-resolved infrared and Terahertz spectroscopy of semiconductor quantum structures

日期:2009-12-30 阅读:1149

摘要

This seminar gives an overview on our recent experimental studies involving ps and fs lasers, including the free-electron laser at FZD. In particular, I briefly discuss nonlinear sideband spectroscopy and time-resolved photoluminescence. Then I will focus on quadratic photocurrent autocorrelation involving intersubband transitions in semiconductor quantum wells at mid-infrared wavelengths, and present our concept for scalable photoconductive Terahertz emitters.

报告人简介

Harald Schneider received his Ph. D. in 1988 at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid-State Research, Stuttgart, Germany. In 1989 he moved to the Fraunhofer-Institute for Solid State Physics, Freiburg, Germany, and in 2005 to the Forschungsszentrum Dresden Rossendorf, Dresden, Germany, where he is currently the department head. His research interests include optoelectronic properties of semiconductors, ultrafast and free-electron laser based spectroscopy, as well as detectors and emitters for the infrared and THz regimes.
