摘要

We are entering into a special time in our journey to understand the material world and the physical laws that govern it. The exploration of the elementary particles is providing knowledge to the understanding of the universe and it's contents, while the astronomical discoveries are driving the frontiers of the elementary particle physics. More than even before, the probing of the infinitive small and infinitive large is tightly linked by the connection that exit between quarks and cosmos. This colloquium will start with Big Bang of the universe and explain why the elementary particles are deeply connected to the cosmos. The key science questions in the 21th century are mentioned and some frontier experiments that are designed for answering these key questions are briefly introduced.
